Rick Matzen
President
President of NCS and manages the metro area. Rick has been a sales rep with NCS for 39 years. Rick is a native to Minnesota, grew up in Edina MN and resides in Savage now. He graduated from St Cloud State University in 1978. Rick has two married daughters and two granddaughters. He enjoys spending free time with wife Marie and their dog Rocky. Golfing, skiing, exercising, investing, traveling, and home improvement projects take up the rest of his time.
Don Matzen
Senior Vice President
Senior Vice President of NCS and has been with NCS for 25 years. Don’s primary responsibilities include accounting for the agency and commercial sales. He has two grown children and resides in Prior Lake, MN with his wife Liz. He holds an A.S. in Business Administration and A.A.S. in Accounting from Lake Superior College. In his spare time, Don enjoys travelling and driving his Mustang.
Chris Taber
Vice President/ND & No. MN Territory Mgr.
Vice President of NCS, manages the commercial segment for the agency, and also manages Northern Minnesota. Chris has been in the sales industry for over 16 years. He graduated from Bellevue University with a BS in Business. In his spare time, he enjoys spending it with his family, traveling, and golfing.

Craig Rasmussen
Account Manager
Account Manager based in Minneapolis. Craig joined the NCS team in September of 2000 and has had several responsibilities during this time. He enjoys working with plumbers / customers to grow their business and educate them on technical information about the products. Outside of work, he enjoys doing projects around his house, and attending different sporting events. He is an avid Viking, Twins, and Wild Hockey fan.
Jeremy Kappenman
Account Manager
Account Manager based in Sioux Falls SD and manages South Dakota and Southern Minnesota. Jeremy was born in Sioux Falls and has lived there for most of his life. He attended Southeast Technical University where he majored in marketing. He has over 15 years of experience in sales management. In his spare time he enjoys spending with his family, rounds of golf and coaching rugby.
Matt Mauer
Builder Segment Manager
Account Manager based in WI. Matt has been in sales for 20+ years. Matt attended University of Wisconsin River-Falls. Matt is an avid hockey player and fan. While attending college, he played in the Final 4 NCAA Hockey Championship in 1995 in Vermont. Matt and his wife are blessed with three boys, Mathew, Michael, and William who also share Matt’s passion for sports, especially hockey and baseball.
Tracy Bench
Showroom/Designer Manager
Showroom Specialist based in Minneapolis. Tracy grew up in Cold Spring, MN and attended college at the University of St. Thomas. She recently rejoined NCS as the showroom specialist and has been in sales for 20+ years. In her free time, Tracy is a total foodie. She loves trying new restaurants with friends and is not afraid to try a new recipe at home. She also loves to travel and like most of us, would like to do more of it.
Pat Cooley
Account Manager
Account Manager based in Grand Forks ND and manages North Dakota and NW Minnesota. Pat was born in Grand Forks and has lived there for all of his life. He has over 5 years of experience in sales management. In his spare time he enjoys spending with his family, playing basketball and snowboarding.
Brian Foy
Inside Sales Manager
Inside Sales Manager based in the NCS corporate headquarters. Brian has been in the plumbing sales industry for 28 years. He holds an MBA in Management from the University of St. Thomas and BA from University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. He has been married for 22 years and has one daughter, Meghan, who is attending college. A big dog lover; Brian enjoys the outdoors, travel and sports. Go Packers!
Michelle Covart
Inside Sales Associate
Customer Relationship Specialist based at the NCS corporate headquarters. Michelle was born in Burnsville, MN and graduated from NDSU with an Interior Merchandise degree with a minor in Business. She has been in the plumbing industry since 2013 and has been a member of NCS’s inside sales team since December 2017. In her spare time, she enjoys Muskie fishing, cooking and spending time with her husband.
Teresa Wedin
Inside Sales Associate
Inside Sales Associate based in the NCS corporate headquarters. Teresa resides in Edina near Southdale. Teresa has been with NCS for 16 years. When not at work she spends most of her time with family. Teresa has two grandchildren active in sports which allows her the opportunity to attend plenty of events! Her other interest include travel and the automotive community.
